Ladle (#93)
A ceramic such as this ladle is often referred to as "utilitarian" because it lacks design and is funcitional. But looking at this beautifully formed ladle it is clear that the potter made a series of conscious artistic choices, from the red blush of the clay to the graceful looping handle. The ladle is beautiful to behold and useful too.
