Polychrome Bowl with Ceremonial Dancers (#65)

Few potters have had the impact of Quotskuyva.  She is deservedly acclaimed as one of the great Hopi-Tewa potters of the twentieth century. Descended from the great potter Nampeyo, she has continually re-worked the paradigm creating singular masterpieces.  For almost forty years she has been one of the most creative, innovative and influential potters at Hopi.   The bowl is signed on the bottom with her name and a corn plant indicating that she is from the Corn Clan.
