Pueblo pottery
Black on Black Bowl (#57)

Talachy learned to make pottery from her mother, who married and resided at neighboring Santa Clara Pueblo. This black-on-black style is an archetypal Pueblo 1930s style. In the 1970s Talachy evolved her own distinctive style of pottery, her husband Joe often painting the pieces.
