Polychrome Seed Jar (#27)
Chino is widely acknowledged as one of the preeminent Acoma potters of the twentieth century as this beautiful seed jar attests. She has masterfully increased and decreased the size of the red design elements to accentuate the jar's shape. The shape of the pot is revival of a thousand year storage jar form. The form was once used to store corn and other seed foods, the small opening easily closed with a corncob stopper.
